Our client, a key player in the urban planning sector in France & Belgium, is looking for an experienced VRD Senior Engineer. Leader in the construction of roads, motorways, tramways and other major infrastructures, our client relies on more than 1,000 employees to carry out its ambitious projects in Wallonia. As a VRD Design Engineer, you will have complete responsibility for pricing studies for complex infrastructure projects, such as urban development, drainage and road works. You will manage your files from A to Z, guaranteeing technical, financial and administrative compliance. Here are the details of your responsibilities:
• Management of tender documents: You will be responsible for the technical and financial analysis of projects, from consultation of market documents to final submission. You will integrate the specific administrative and technical requirements for each project.
• Preparation of price studies: You will carry out a precise estimate of costs (disbursements, site costs, subcontractors, etc.), ensuring that the proposals are optimized while respecting the company's financial objectives.
• Consultation of subcontractors and suppliers: You will be in charge of negotiating and obtaining the best offers for the materials and services necessary for the projects.
•Risk and opportunity management: You will identify and propose possible optimizations, while analyzing the risks associated with each project. You will submit concrete and justified proposals to management.
• Collaboration with internal teams: You will work closely with the Technical Director and support services to guarantee the smooth transmission of information, while ensuring rigorous monitoring of internal procedures.
• Support for operational teams: Once the project has been assigned, you will organize the transmission of information to the operating teams, while remaining available to support them during the implementation phase if necessary.
• Civil or Industrial Engineering Diploma in construction.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar function, with solid expertise in pricing studies in the field of infrastructure or road works.
• Excellent command of IT tools (Microsoft Suite, MS Project), and ideally Bluebeam and KPD VNext software.
• You are rigorous, have an analytical mind, and know how to manage complex projects within deadlines.
• Good interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively in a team and communicate clearly with different stakeholders.
• A good knowledge of French is essential, English is a plus.
